Tracy glanced at the people in front of her and smiled at Natalie. “It’s fine. I don’t really like jewelry; it’s a waste of money. They enjoy their lavish lifestyle, but that’s their business. Let’s just ignore them and go.”
Yvonne loved luxury and couldn’t give up the good life, which was why she had latched onto Chandler. But Tracy was different. She wanted to build a good life for herself, on her own terms, not rely on others for everything.
Even Quincy, who came from a poor family, had this inexplicable sense of superiority. To actually think she’s better than me… Where does she get the nerve? She’s been Yvonne’s lapdog for so long, she’s forgotten her own place.
Quincy stepped in front of Tracy, blocking her path, and seethed, “You’re so arrogant, Tracy. No wonder your brothers can’t stand you. You act so high and mighty, anyone who didn’t know better would think you were the family heiress. Don’t forget, you’re just an orphan who was dumped by her man. What do you have to be so proud of?”
She just couldn’t stand that superior attitude of Tracy’s. It was infuriating.
Tracy forcefully shook off Quincy’s arm. “You’re one of the people who indirectly got my uncle killed. You have no right to judge me. Quincy, you’re pathetic. You’ve just been a pawn for Yvonne and her mother, sacrificing yourself to help them. But you’re too stupid to even see it. You’ve been sold, and you’re still here counting their money like a loyal dog. You’re a pitiful creature, but you’ve earned it.”
Without waiting for Quincy to react, she walked away, deliberately ignoring Chandler from start to finish.
A flash of disappointment crossed Chandler’s mind.
Quincy was furious and started to chase after them, but by the time she reached the door, Tracy and Natalie were gone.
Her face contorted with rage. Tracy, you just wait. You won’t be laughing for long.
They spent the afternoon shopping and returned home loaded with bags.
Tracy collapsed on the sofa, exhausted. After a short rest, she pulled some ingredients from the fridge and got busy in the kitchen.
Sean got home just as Tracy was bringing the food to the table. She wiped the sweat from her brow as she heard the door open.
Tracy turned and called out, “Sean, you’re just in time. Go wash your hands; dinner is ready.”

Sean nodded, the tension in his brow easing. He put his jacket on the sofa and headed to the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves.
He came out carrying two bowls of rice, and Tracy followed behind with the bowls and chopsticks.
After they ate, Sean cleaned up as usual, and Tracy wiped the table. They worked together smoothly, falling into an easy routine. Once the table was clean, Tracy sat on the sofa to watch TV.
Sean came out of the kitchen and sat next to her, the sofa cushion sinking significantly under his weight.
He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulled her into his lap, and lowered his head to kiss her.

They fell back onto the sofa, kissing deeply, their breathing tangling. Tracy instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
Her response made him bolder. His large hand began to roam, soon slipping beneath the hem of her dress.
Tracy shivered, a flicker of awareness making her want to pull back, but it was too late.
He wasn’t going to give her another chance to escape. Even if she blamed him afterward, he wouldn’t let her get away. The thought of her blind date earlier that day… a darkness crossed his eyes, and a reckless fire burned through him.
He was done holding back.
The desire to possess her was overwhelming, threatening to drown him.
Their bodies tangled together. Tracy’s initial resistance melted into a hesitant surrender.
She had to admit, Sean’s technique was terrible. She was so desperate she almost devoured him, which only made it harder for her. He was forceful at first, almost punishing, but he gradually softened, and she was soon completely lost in him,
When they finished, Sean carried her to the bathroom. Tracy buried her face in his chest, eyes squeezed shut, too embarrassed to look as he gently washed her.
He wrapped her in a towel and carried her back to the sofa.
