Chapter 245 A Walk and a Memory
Tracy’s small face instantly flushed crimson, all the way to the tips of her ears. What kind of filthy talk is that?
She grabbed a blanket from the sofa and wrapped herself in it tightly, completely mortified. I can’t believe those lewd words just came out of Sean’s mouth. What is happening to the world?
Seeing how thin-skinned she was, Sean stopped teasing her and quickly got dressed.
He leaned down and kissed her cheek. “Be good. Let’s go for a walk to digest.”
Tracy grabbed a pillow and
“Then get some rest.”
Overed her head. “You go. I’m tired. I want to rest.”
Hearing the door click shut, Tracy finally opened her eyes. Thinking back on the absurd scene, she sighed.
That damn man. He doesn’t know the first thing about being gentle. Looking at the kiss marks on her neck, her face was a mask of despair. She had to work tomorrow. How was she supposed to face anyone?
Suddenly, she heard footsteps by the door. Tracy jumped, looking up to see that Sean hadn’t left.
He crouched down, bringing his face close to hers. “You scratched my face all up. How am I supposed to explain this to my staff tomorrow?”
She saw the faint, red scratches on his otherwise perfect face and quickly shut her eyes, playing dead.
Serves him right. He’s the one who was all over me, again and again, not even giving me a chance to protest. This is just a small punishment.
Sean found a set of her clothes in the bedroom, placed them on the corner of the sofa, and then pulled the pillow away from her head.
He whispered in her ear, “Get up and get dressed. We’re going for a walk. If you don’t get up, don’t mind changing you myself.”
Tracy’s eyes flew open. She uncomfortably pushed at his lips. “You go out first. Then I’ll change.”

The cool touch of his lips made her flinch. She heard him chuckle. “What are you afraid of? It’s not like I haven’t seen it all before.”

Something in Tracy’s mind exploded. She suddenly remembered the night she’d gotten drunk, when Sean had changed her clothes. He had seen everything, even back then, while she was completely unconscious. She had no idea if he had only changed her clothes or if… Just the thought made her face burn.
He’s such a creep!
She wasn’t normally a prudish person. She could have pretended that first time never happened. But now, they had just done that, while both of them were completely sober. In the heat of the moment, she couldn’t even remember who had started it or who had made the first
move.
Either way, what was done was done. And the feeling between them had quietly, subtly changed.
She scrambled
up, grabbed the clothes, and fled into the bedroom, slamming the door.
After dragging it out for more than ten minutes, she finally opened the door.
Sean saw her and took her hand, leading her out of the apartment.
He started a conversation. “We need to walk every day from now on. It’s one of the things Professor Martin ordered.”
After what had just happened, Tracy didn’t dare look at him. She kept her lips pressed together, letting him lead her.
It was the weekend. The apartment complex had a small playground and some simple exercise equipment. Many parents were outside with their children. The adults stood in small groups, chatting, their eyes always following their kids.
It was a warm, peaceful scene. Tracy couldn’t help but smile.
This was the kind of life she had always wanted. She had once told Chandler she wanted a child. But Chandler was always busy-if
not with work, then with his affair. He never had time
to have a baby.
Later, at a party, a drunk Lincoln had revealed Chandler’s true feelings.
“That Tracy is such an idiot,” Lincoln had slurred. “Chandler already has Yvonne. Why would he ever have a kid with her? If he’s having a baby, it’ll be with Yvonne. He’s not having one with some orphan. She should look in the mirror and see if she’s even worthy. All she does is check up on him, acting suspicious, making trouble. Who would want a hysterical psycho like that?”
At the time, Tracy had been standing right outside the door, her hand gripping the handle so hard her knuckles turned white.

That was the first time she learned that Yvonne was Chandler’s mistress. The first time she learned how much money he had spent on her. She had felt like she’d been struck by lightning, completely numb.
