Chapter 17

“You’re quite impressive, but there’s just one of you, you can’t possibly beat all of us. Even if we can’t get close to you, we can trap you here. Why don’t we make a deal?” Terrence asked.

He might be quite arrogant, but he was no fool. If he were truly reckless and only brash, he wouldn’t become one of the top ten fighters in the country.

“Let’s hear it,” Victor replied. Although he had no intention of making a deal, he was curious to know what Terrence wanted to say.

“Give me your weapon, and I’ll give you a hundred Source Crystals. Additionally, I’ll allow you to hunt in this zoo, and you’ll have equal standing with me from now on. Does that sound good?”

Terrence laid out his offer.

His priority was to get Victor’s weapon above all else. Without the weapon, Victor would be at his mercy anyway.

“Hey, wake up and stop dreaming. It’s still daytime,” Victor pointed at the sky, his disdain clear.

A hundred Source Crystals? All of them would probably be ordinary Source Crystals, right?

And he actually said he’d allow Victor to hunt in the zoo. Did he miss the part where Victor said the zoo was already his territory?

As for standing on equal footing with him, that was even more impossible for Victor to accept. The current Terrence had no right to stand on equal footing with Victor, especially since Victor had already taken away his greatest opportunity.

“You would rather die fighting?” Terrence questioned Victor angrily. He had already made significant compromises, yet the guy was being completely unreasonable.

“I wouldn’t die fighting you,” Victor said, stating the cold, hard truth.

“By the way, you might want to take a look behind you,” Victor nodded towards Terrence’s back.

Terrence instinctively turned around.

The moment he did, he was so shocked he almost jumped up.

A bunch of mechanical creatures had crept up behind him without him even noticing.

They were not small creatures like rats or monkeys either. There was a herd of mechanical deer that were over five meters tall.

The herd numbered at least fifty, with sharp steel antlers stretching two meters long. If one of those antlers struck him, Terrence figured even his seventeen-meter mecha would get pierced through.

How had they approached so silently?

No, that didn’t matter now. The important thing was that they were about to charge at him.

“Get up

and block them! Hurry!” Terrence shouted anxiously, urging his fallen lackeys to climb back up.

Unfortunately, the herd of deer gave the mecha no time to prepare. Under the command of a mutant, they charged at the unorganized mecha group.

Victor shook his head.

He knew that these mecha were pretty much done for.

He glanced at Terrence. “In my previous life, he must have only thrived after gaining the Overdrive Combat Power Enhancement skill. Otherwise, with his IQ, even if he had a seventeen-meter ultra-heavyweight mecha from the start, he would still have died a terrible death.”.

As Victor analyzed in his mind, he silently watched, showing no intention of intervening.

Victor was already showing mercy by not making the situation worse for Terrence and his group. Of course, the main reason was that he didn’t want to waste energy.

Taking down nearly thirty mecha would consume a lot of energy, and most importantly, he wouldn’t gain any benefits from doing so.

Therefore, the ideal move would be to wait for the herd of deer to deal with those people, then deal with the deer

afterwards.
