Chapter 19
Seeing the mechanical deer charging at him with its antlers lowered, Victor scoffed.
“Do you think I’m one of those fools that you took down earlier?”
Victor swung the war scythe. Because its hooked blade was over a meter long, the scythe could easily extend past the deer’s antlers and stab into the deer’s body.
The mechanical deer’s defense was lower than the steel crocodiles’. With one stroke, Victor gutted the beast.
The mechanical deer that charged at Victor collapsed midway.
Terrence was stunned.
Having witnessed Victor’s true strength, he was surprised that he was still alive.
He couldn’t believe that he had foolishly provoked such a powerful opponent just a moment ago.
In horror, he watched the mechanical deer fall one after another. No matter what angle the mechanical deer attacked Victor from, it was all in vain.
Even when a group of mechanical deer charged from all sides, Victor dodged them easily, and while doing so, he claimed the lives of several more mechanical deer.
In less than five minutes, the once massive herd had dwindled to just five survivors.
Among them was the mutant.
“Human, you are strong. I do not wish to be your enemy,” the mutated deer spoke.
Terrence’s mecha jaws dropped in disbelief upon hearing the mechanical deer speak.
Victor, however, was used to it.
“What do you have to offer in exchange for your life?” He wasn’t in a rush to finish off the mutant.
Sometimes, these mutants could provide valuable items.
For instance, certain equipment that they had stashed away.
“I…” the mutant hesitated.
What could it offer? Perhaps the Source Crystals lying amidst the metal scrap piles would suffice?
But those Source Crystals were already his…
“Since you have nothing to negotiate with, then I’ll take your life.”
Victor moved with the swiftness of the wind.
When he charged towards the mutant, the four mechanical deer surrounding it also rushed at him.
However, all they could do was delay him.
But that was all the mutant needed.
“Electromagnetic pulse,” the mutated mechanical deer thought in its mind.
Suddenly, vibrant electrical sparks erupted from its antlers, shining brilliantly as if they were trying to engulf

everything around them.
Two beams of electricity intertwined and twisted in the air before converging into a straight bolt that sliced through the night sky like lightning. It shot rapidly towards Victor.
“Watch out!” Terrence yelled out, his voice filled with tension and fear.
He wasn’t genuinely concerned for Victor’s safety. He merely knew that if Victor died, he would follow suit.
If Victor couldn’t handle the mutant, what chance did he have? He knew he was much weaker than Victor.
“It already learned a skill? This early?” Victor was genuinely surprised. He did not expect the mutant to have grasped a skill in such a brief amount of time.
Having just felled a mechanical deer, Victor brandished his war scythe to defend himself.
It would have been nice to have a shield. Unfortunately, the war scythe was a two-handed weapon. While it offered immense offensive capability, he definitely had to sacrifice some defense.
